I remember hating printmaking when we did it in middle school and high school art classes, so I avoided it in college. But then I realized that I do a lot of printmaking - in the textiles I've made and the patterns I've created on paper - and that what I actually don't like about it is creating editions. I don't like the idea of creating duplicates of the same image, though I understand its purpose. I like printmaking because it allows me to create repeating patterns of images that aren't perfectly identical.
